Sprocketed magnetic film transfers to digital

We have a Magna-Tech 16/35 sound follower in our facility, this allows us to play out and transfer Sprocketed magnetic film transfers to digital from 16mm and 35mm full coat reels to extract the audio for synchronising back to scanned film. This also known as SepMag tape or separate magnetic.

With 3 sound heads for both formats films can be centre or edge track mono or stereo, and can be played out at either 24 or 25 frames per second time bases for easy layback to the scanned images.

The Magna-Tech gives the highest sound reproduction, this machine was originally installed at Pinewood so if it’s good enough for 007 it will be good enough for anything else.

This is part of our film transfer service as these reels usually come in pairs combined with the film reel.

If you are a facility house that transfers film but don’t have a sound follower we can transfer the audio reels for you, talk to us today for trade pricing and turnaround speed.

We can supply audio to most formats ready for cloud download for fast turnaround jobs.

For full coat audio transfers call us for latest prices and turnaround time.
