We properly clean and scan every image using multi-pass to achieve full dynamic range. With digital ICE to reduce micro dust it takes longer to scan but gives vastly improved results. Your slides can look just like the examples in the video above.
We also scan 35mm negative strips into positive images that far exceed the 6×4 prints you will have received from the processors.
Image Cleaning : We hand clean every image prior to transfer with a soft blower brush. Damaged film can be cleaned with special film cleaners this can be carried out to help restore images that require additional restoration prior to scanning. Any glass mounted slides will need to have the glass removed prior to scanning to avoid image degradation and Newton rings.
Photoshop Adjustments : All images are hand processed individually in Photoshop for correct orientation, colour and contrast. This is all done by eye on a properly calibrated monitor with an experienced technician for correct adjustments. This is included in the cost!
Faded and colour shifted films
Sadly some films have changed colour over time, many copy films have turned red and some films have shifted toward green, we can correct this to some extent. The good news is we can set the scanner up for this and use advanced Photoshop skills to minimise this drastically bringing back much of the original colour tone.
Your Slideshows on the TV
Most modern smart TV’s can play back your slides in sequence from a USB memory stick or via DVD or Blu-Ray players in JPEG format files. So no need to pay for expensive slideshow movies!
Digital files are supplied in either JPEG, TIFF or Raw DNG formats at 5,300 x 3500 pixels perfect for smart 4K TV’s, or making print enlargements, publications and the like.

How to order our 35mm Slide Scan Service
Just pop your slides and negatives in a secure box or bag and send them to the address below with your requirements and we will contact you on receipt with a cost and timescale, remember we also convert cine films and video and audio tapes too!
You can be assured that your slides and negative film will be treated with the utmost of care and carefully re-packed after scanning. Our staff have many years of experience working with film from Kodak’s Kodakchrome, Fuji, Agfa, Ilford, Perutz, Boots and others and will be happy to answer any questions that you may have.
Send us your order or drop them off. You can post your films to us, we recommend either Special Delivery or via a courier service. You can drop off at our facility, we are open 9:30am until 5:30pm most weekdays, just call to make an appointment.
