DVD Video Authoring & Mastering

DVD Video: T V V Productions offer a full in-house DVD authoring & mastering service, which can include custom designed menu’s & navigation structures to suit you.

The ultimate in quality video reproduction, each disc type can be in a Linear style play or as a menu driven interactive. Linear discs are like video tape. You simply put the disc into the player and it plays from beginning to end. You can pause and scan, but you cannot jump from scene to scene. Interactive discs have menus & sub menu’s giving the user as much or as little control in how they navigate the DVD.

Encoding in widescreen 16:9 and 4:3 Aspect Ratios from digital formats including Digi Beta, HD, DV-CAM, MPEGII, and Mini DV. Digital source tapes are fed directly into the digital input of the encoder; bypassing digital to analogue conversions. Analogue tape formats Beta SP, U-Matic SP, SVHS and VHS are fed through a component TBC with noise reduction circuitry before feeding into the encoder.

Interactivity! With just a little pre-planning you can have an interactive DVD presentation that gives your viewers the opportunity to navigate the disc & explore at their own pace.

COPY CONTROL - The loss of revenue through piracy of even small runs of DVD can be devastating for the small independent producer as well as large organisations. We use the latest software (Patronus) which effectively controls access to the content by common ripping programs and provides effective, speed bump protection from unauthorised copying.

The result is copy-controlled discs with playability matching that of unprotected discs. We can add this during the authoring stage or to a final authored master supplied by you. Contact us for latest pricing.

PAL, NTSC are the two video standards that are used in DVD, we can convert from both PAL & NTSC and can create either a PAL or NTSC version’s. Click here to see World Video Standards.
